Entering the 30s

Happy 30th birthday to Josh, my dear boyfriend. He's not much for celebrating birthdays, but my family made sure to make it special. Last weekend when mom and dad were in town for Case's birthday, we had a birthday dinner for Josh and Case. There were presents, of course, but there was also some yummy food, all requested by Josh.

Mom made smoked pork loin. I made potato casserole, bought macaroni salad from King Soopers (one of Josh's fave), Shan brought bread, and we devoured a tasty meal.

Saving just enough room for dessert, we enjoyed a homemade cheesecake and a Peanut Butter Brownie Trifle. It was soooooo good!

Josh got some fun gifts. My parents were generous and got Josh chocolate covered almonds (another fave), a GC to Red Robin, and a Husker t-shirt. Now Josh can fit in with the family on game day Saturdays.

Shannon and Jeff got him a GC to McDonalds, which is perfect. He'll use that up in no time.

I got Josh a pair of shoes he'd had his eyes on, some biking gear, a fishing pole, and a very nice tool box he's been eyeing for some time. All in all, he was pretty spoiled.

Enjoy your day, Josh. May God's blessings fall on you this upcoming year as you enter your 30s.
