Almost a year ago around Valentine's Day, Britt and I decided to go to The Bitter Ball, which was hosted by Slacker and Steve from Alice 105.9. Britt talked me into going, so we made a night of it. We got ready together (getting the two of us ready at the same time can take hours). Britt did my makeup, we got all dolled up and headed downtown.

Upon arriving at the bar, we felt a little out of place. There were hundreds of people walking around, and we felt like just two girls among hundreds of others. We were handed a number that we had to wear all night. If someone liked us, they could either send a text to the wall saying, "705, I think you're hot. Love 354." If you (705) was interested in 354, then you could either find him or text him back. Britt and I spent a lot of time reading the texts being sent back and forth between people. There was Spin the Bottle, which was extremely awkward. We decided not to play because even if the bottle landed on a girl, you HAD to kiss her. We weren't feeling that too much.
There was a kissing booth. We passed on that.
There was a Love Board, as pictured below. You could write a sticky note message and put it on the board for number 354 (or whichever number struck an interest).
